The Apostolic Church in Ukraine
Your Help is Needed Now More Than Ever: Thank you for all you have already done. After nearly five years of war, the families of Pastors Sergey and Sasha—as well as the entire Apostolic Church body in Ukraine—need our prayers and financial support now more than ever.
The Need: Most church members have lost their livelihoods and are struggling simply to survive. Businesses owned by members of the church have been destroyed in drone attacks, homes have been abandoned, and many men have been compelled into military service. Families with the means to leave have sought safety outside the country. Yet through it all, a strong core of the ministry team has remained. Even amid unimaginable loss and destruction, God is moving—and revival is taking place in Kyiv.
Why Give: When you give, you are not just supporting Pastor Sergey and Sasha’s families—you are strengthening the entire church and making its ministry possible. Your support helps meet their families essential living expenses, allowing them to remain in Kyiv and continue ministering to those who so desperately need it. In short without your support the work in Ukraine will stop.
Simply put, the work we are able to do here depends on the generosity of people like you. Every gift helps sustain our family, support the church, and carry the hope of the Gospel to people throughout our community.
Why Pray? Your prayers are making a difference. While there is danger all around and nearly all have been displaced, not one Apostolic person has been injured or killed since the war began!
Our Connection: Pastors Sergey and Sasha Tomyev and the church in Ukraine hold a special place in the heart of Lighthouse. Most of the Tomyev sisters attend Lighthouse, and their youngest brother, Vasya, serves as our Worship Pastor. Now, with Elder and Sister Tomyev making Lighthouse their home church, our bond with the entire family has grown even stronger. Through our partnership with Pastors Sergey and Sasha, their family has truly become our family, and our love for the church in Kyiv is deep.
